JaGoFF
News:
11/02/07
- We have been in the studeo and believe it or not, we are ALMOST
finished with the NEW RECORD. We are doing the final clean-up,
then off the mastering. We haven't settled on the album title
yet. There are some pretty good ones in contention. It's gonna
be a good one. More soon
10/23/07
- In keeping with the Halloween spirt ,
we have posted a rough mix of the track "Boogieman"
(from the upcoming album). Give a listen while you can, it will
be up for the next couple of weeks.
8/8/07
- We've have posted the photo gallery from Chicago Scene's Boat
Party. It
was ridiculous.
Check 'em out here.
06/08/07
- We've have posted the photo gallery from LOOPTOPIA. Check
'em out.
5/12/07
- JaGoFF made it on the WGN News and CLTV, last night, for their
coverage of LOOPTOPIA
!!! NBC was also there to cover the event.
Thanks to all of you that came out to the JaGoFF show @ MFChicago's
LOOPTOPIA party. The turn-out was absolutely amazing, we reached
capacity (our apologies to those of you who missed out). Bottom
line is that it had to be the best stage we ever played on,
period. How often can you throw a party, on the loading dock
of a landmark, Louis Sullivan building for you and a couple
thousand people on the streets of Chicago and bomb the bass
to such ridiculous levels? Let alone, have a massive trash compactor
and a hundred surveillance cameras as part of the stage set-up.
Haha. Everyone involved threw down amazing sets.
Our dressing room was the entire Carson,
Pirie, Scott Dept Store - it was very creepy, as it was
completely empty, so we explored all 4 floors and sub-basements.
We were expecting to see some ghosts. Maybe they will show up
in some of the photos. There were a whole load of news crews
out and about, so we are certain that it will be popping up
here and there. more.
In terms of the overall event, there were so many shows that
we wanted to catch, but time simply did not allow it. The city
streets were still teaming with people at 2am. With the weather
being so cool, we were thinking that the crowd would have been
thin, pleased to see that we were wrong. We are certain that
it will be around again next year.
The city threw one hell of a party last night. Kudos to the
City of Chicago, Mayor Daley and the crew of MF Chicago for
throwing such an amazing bash. ... a sad note: This was our
last performance with Mistress Kimchee Love, who is moving to
Hawaii to start a new life. Thanks for some of the craziest
shows, performances and memories, thank God for video and photos.
We wish you the absolute best. That was one helluva send off!
... and last, but certainly not least, many thanks to Phat Tony
for busting his ass to get to the show for another installment
of incredible photos. the results of which, will be posted asap.
Coverage can be found on: NBC
, WGN
(Click on "Looptopia" in the video player.), WGN
(Click on "Chicago holds first all-night Looptopia" in
the video player.)
5/08/07
- FRIDAY, MAY 11TH, JaGoFF will be performing at the premiere
of LOOPTOPIA
in DOWNTOWN CHICAGO. This will be our first Chicago performance
in almost a year ... so, come party with us and a couple hundred
thousand of our closest friends THIS FRIDAY, MAY 11TH, on the
streets of Downtown Chicago at the incredible premiere of LOOPTOPIA
- the party is FREE and goes from dusk till dawn ...
JaGoFF will be playing several tracks from our upcoming album
and will be supported by the MF Chicago video gang, along with
our lovely dancers and the whole crew. This performance is bittersweet,
as we bid a fond farwell to Mistress Kimchee Love, who is packing
her bags for Hawaii, just hours after her performance. That
said, bring your cameras because who knows what tricks she has
up her black latex thigh highs. Please come by and wish her
well. At this time, we would also like to thank the deliciously
evil Clandestina, who after joining the JaGoFF crew onstage
for several past performances, has left the country for a new
life in Mexico City. We will miss you and wish you all the best.
LOOPTOPIA.
"America's first dusk-to-dawn cultural and artistic spectacle
showcasing the vibrancy and excitement of Chicago's historic
Loop neighborhood through musical and theatrical performances,
unique shopping and dining opportunities, indoor programs, outdoor
exhibitions, architectural tours, artistic installations and
mesmerizing light displays." We
will be transforming the loading dock of the old Carson's building
(Just east of State St. at Madison) into an electronic dance
and visual spectacle. Each music act is either a live AV show
or accompanied by live video artists. Featuring:Paul
Johnson with VJs Big mini & 3pHaze, Brobot, Monologic with
VJs pixeldixie & Mason Dixion, DJ Adonis TFU with Video
Janitor, Shudder Inc. and 0+1=everything
2/24/07 - JaGoFF has been selected as CNET's "Editor's
Pick" on Download.com. Check it out. "Impossibly deep
funk bass lines, crazy-eyed crew sing-alongs and a gritty bent
put the Chi-town squad in post-Parliament territory. But this
isn't just the orthodox funk of George Clinton's famed outfit.
Between its rich harmonies and lyrical edge, it is everything
from gospel to rap." Many thanks to the wonderful CNET
editors for the love.
2/20/07 - We have just posted a sneak preview of "SHOCK
AND AWE" - one of the tracks from the upcoming album,
on our
MySpace page. It's a burner. We are expecting to have things
winding up shortly for an early summer release. It's gonna be

results and are sure that you will be too. We have several guest

some BIG THANGS. Check back here for updates and then of course

JaGoFF
just received a sweet lil' review from IE, "Following
successful nationwide treks on the Warped Tour in 2003 and 2004,
Chicago-born JaGoFF decided it was finally time to collect their
music onto a debut LP. There’s One Born Every Minute showcases
this DJ duo’s aptitude for mixing tight techno beats and
old-school funk bass lines with a unique vocal collision of
high falsettos and Barry White-like basses. And as might be
evident from their name, they love to pack each song with morsels
of sexual innuendo (see “Bust A Nut,” “Bump
That Ass,” and “Interspecies Embryo Transfer”)."
12/05 – Carter Moss . Thanks
guys.

a little bit DiscoD. Dancable and free, each song gets the ass
shakin' a little bit more. The project is o sexy that if you
haven't gotten any by the closing song, "Baby FaTT",
you need a new face." Needless to say we were thrilled.
