They all accept original music by both underground & mainstream artists, and vary from the mega-corporate to garage operations. All are worthy of checking out. As with anything, before you sign up with any of these sites: ALWAYS, READ THE AGREEMENT!!! Most sites are straight up & fair-minded but, there are those few that will try to pull some shade. Boston Bands
Boston bands acts as a datbase for online area bands to promote their tracks and events, fostering a community. If you live or gig in or around "beantown" hook it up.

MusicLink
Wanna get paid, join the club. MusicLink.com is not a site to post your music, but rather a site to sign up for a virtual tip-jar. Enter your info, get in their database and if your listening public gives 2 squirts about you may actually have some coinage thrown your way... at least get mom to and your wierd uncle to surrender some cash. FairTunes.com actually looks like a very promising idea. Do it.

Live365
Live365 allows you to set up your own "radio station" and
stream it 365 days a year. There're are actually some excellent stations running there, "J's Ambient" comes to mind. Songs in the playlost can be purchased directly by clicking.

Listen.com pretty much just functions as an mp3 index & search site.Type it in and if it is in their database it'll find ya. If your not there, then register your music with them.I think by this point and time they have partnered with the world.

Local Music
Run almost entirely by the artists. Local Music lets you promote your shows, music and other doings. It does not host your MP3 files, however.



CD Street
CD Street is an avenue for musicians to sell their CDs and other merch. CD Street will even put an insert into your products, which would work great for touring among other things.. Requires no fees, CD Street keeps 20% of sales. They also offer code to enable your merchandising efforts through them.

 
MSN Spaces
MS throws it hat into the social networking ring.

Back Bone
Create, automate and stream radio with ads and demographics. A Mac based radio studio with local or remote transmitter software and services to broadcast your content.

Indie Radio

Based out of the DC area, Indie Radio was started by, Dj Danny Copacetic and features several broadcasts and playlists, including DreamPop and PopLoser... Indie Radio is a big supporter of independent acts and labels and is open to submissions. Check it out.

AmpCast
AmpCast seems to be a fair alternative for the indie Worth a look. A fee based site that offers payback.

Get My Song
Resource of music business professionals, offers forums, directories and provides news about celebrities, music industry and music related articles.

CC New Music Network
The New Music Network is a forum for indie musicians run by Clear Channel. Allows you to host & stream your music for free... The pro here is that many of Clear Channel's stations link to the site and there is always the outside chance that you may be heard by some in the broadcast industry.
